Ridgeway Self-Host License 1.0

Copyright (c) 2026 Ridgeway Interactive

This license is based on the Elastic License 2.0. It is not the Elastic
License 2.0, and it is not endorsed by or connected to Elastic N.V.

"The software" is Cambium Server, including any portion of it, in source or
in object form. By using the software, you agree to these terms.

Permission is granted, free of charge, to any person or organization
obtaining a copy of the software, to use, copy, modify, distribute, and make
available the software and works derived from it, for any purpose and for any
number of users, subject to the conditions below.

You may not provide the software to third parties as a hosted or managed
service, and you may not charge a fee, a subscription, or any other
consideration -- billed directly, bundled with other goods or services, or
taken as a share of anything of value -- for access to an instance of the
software that you operate on someone else's behalf.

You may not alter, remove, or obscure any licensing, copyright, or other
notice in the software, and any use of Ridgeway Interactive's trademarks is
subject to applicable law.

Anyone you give any part of the software to must get a copy of this license
with it. If you modify the software, the copies you distribute must state
prominently that you have modified it.

PATENTS

Ridgeway Interactive grants you a license, under any patent claims Ridgeway
Interactive can license, or becomes able to license, to make, have made, use,
sell, offer for sale, import and have imported the software, in each case
subject to the limitations and conditions in this license. This license does
not cover any patent claims that you cause to be infringed by modifications
or additions to the software. If you or your company make any written claim
that the software infringes or contributes to infringement of any patent,
your patent license for the software granted under these terms ends
immediately. If your company makes such a claim, your patent license ends
immediately for work on behalf of your company.

TERMINATION

If you use the software in violation of these terms, such use is not
licensed, and your licenses will automatically terminate. If Ridgeway
Interactive provides you with a notice of your violation, and you cease all
violation of this license no later than 30 days after you receive that
notice, your licenses will be reinstated retroactively. However, if you
violate these terms after such reinstatement, any additional violation of
these terms will cause your licenses to terminate automatically and
permanently.

DEFINITIONS

"Your company" is any legal entity, sole proprietorship, or other kind of
organization that you work for, plus all organizations that have control
over, are under the control of, or are under common control with that
organization. "Control" means ownership of substantially all the assets of an
entity, or the power to direct its management and policies by vote, contract,
or otherwise. Control can be direct or indirect.

"Your licenses" are all the licenses granted to you for the software under
these terms.

"Use" means anything you do with the software requiring one of your licenses.

THE SOFTWARE IS PROVIDED "AS IS", WITHOUT WARRANTY OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR
IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO THE WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY,
FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE AND NONINFRINGEMENT. IN NO EVENT SHALL
RIDGEWAY INTERACTIVE BE LIABLE FOR ANY CLAIM, DAMAGES OR OTHER LIABILITY,
WHETHER IN AN ACTION OF CONTRACT, TORT OR OTHERWISE, ARISING FROM, OUT OF OR
IN CONNECTION WITH THE SOFTWARE OR THE USE OR OTHER DEALINGS IN THE SOFTWARE.

EXPLICITLY PERMITTED USE

  - Running the software for yourself or your company, for any number of
users, on hardware you own or rent from a third party.

  - Giving employees, contractors, freelancers, publishers, or clients access
to your instance so that they can work on your projects, whether or not
you are paid for that work.

  - Running it for a school, a course, a workshop, a bootcamp, or a game jam,
and giving students or participants access to their own projects on it,
whether or not they pay you tuition or fees.

  - Being paid to install, configure, migrate, or support an instance that
    someone else operates for themselves.

  - Distributing the software, modified or not, under these same terms.

The only thing this license withholds is the business of hosting Cambium for
other people: selling access to servers you run on their behalf.
